Gallowglass Event Crew were delighted to support the teams behind London's highly anticipated new theatre production, The Hunger Games: On Stage. Working at the purpose-built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, our experienced London event crew provided specialist theatre installation and production support services throughout a four-month build programme ahead of the show's public premiere.
Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, the new 1,200-seat, in-the-round theatre has been designed to deliver world-class immersive entertainment experiences. The three-storey venue features flexible performance spaces, an outdoor terrace, and the infrastructure required to accommodate large-scale theatrical productions and complex venue installations.
The ambitious production incorporates a range of cutting-edge technologies, including London’s largest production specific stage lift, an extensive sub-stage area, moving seating blocks, and a roof structure capable of supporting up to 40 tonnes of production equipment. Delivering a project of this scale required a highly skilled and safety-focused event workforce.
Throughout the installation, Gallowglass supplied a dedicated team of experienced event crew, including certified forklift operators, telehandler operators, scissor lift operators, and SSSTS-qualified site supervisors. Our specialist crew supported every stage of the theatre build, helping to ensure the project was delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Over the course of the project, 108 Gallowglass event crew members worked across 204 on-site days, providing more than 10,500 hours of expert production and installation support. Led by London Regional Senior Crew Chief Peter Card and Crew Chief Marwan Zeghbib, the team brought extensive experience in theatre builds, venue fit-outs, and live event logistics to help deliver this landmark project to the highest standards. Marwan noted: "Working on a project of this magnitude was an invaluable learning experience. Managing the immense logistical demands and supporting departments across production, staging, rigging, special effects, and stunts was incredibly rewarding to be part of".
