We like to think we are leaders in, setting and adopting new standards and embracing new technologies. Here are just a few of the areas in which we have led the way since we started back in 1996.

Our Management Systems

Like many crewing companies, we started with a whiteboard and an excel spreadsheet. Pretty soon our success in the industry meant we had to move to a more efficient database.

From Access database to Microsoft Dynamics NAV

In 2003, we moved from an old Access database to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In that time, we have invested heavily in this system and it has proved an invaluable tool in managing our day to day operations giving us the ability to manage hundreds of crew movements a day (we couldn’t have delivered the staggering volume of work on London 2012 without it).

Among many other things, it helps us to:

  • Quickly ascertain crew availability to fulfil incoming work without us overcommitting and thus letting down our clients.
  • Manage crew workdays ensuring they have sufficient rest breaks between shifts – something that is vital during those busy periods that spike through the year leading to a safer working environment on site.
  • Quickly produce accurate quotes and make amendments when changes are required due to the ever-changing world of events.

Our Crew App

You might have seen our recent blog post celebrating the 5th year of our Crew App.

As mentioned there, it has revolutionised the way we work as a company vastly improving the way we communicate shift information to our crew. Before the app crew worked off text messages and a crew diary which they wrote their job info in.

Hot behind the heels of our Crew App came our Client App.

Developed with Feedback from Key Clients

It was developed with feedback from key clients in the event world to try and deliver something that would be useful both for our clients’ procurement teams and the production managers out on site.

Hundreds of client app users now rely on our app when working with us to find out key information on the orders they have with us.

First Crewing Company to Provide Trained and Qualified First Aid at Work Crew

We have always been committed to providing the safest working environment for our crew and clients possible.

In 2004, we believe we were the first crewing company to offer properly trained and qualified First Aid at Work crew as a service to our clients.

Crew Handbook

All crew members have access to our Crew Handbook which provides them with all the information they need to get going on site.

We believe it was the first (and only) such guide offered by a crewing company to be endorsed by the HSE.
